Team Treehouse

Team Treehouse is an online learning course that I take advantage of during my free time to gain some extra knowledge and broaden my views within the programming world.

Udemy

Udemy is like an online library with all sorts of resources waiting for you dig into and learn. I discovered Udemy some time after my time on Team Treehouse and Udemy was so much more. The courses are expensive but they go on sale a lot throughout the year. If a course I am interested is $100 one day, it could be on sale for between $9.99 and $13.99 soon.

With Udemy, I can find multiple sources on a certain subject that I am wanting to learn and be able to read reviews for that particular course and make a decision on whether or not it is worth it. With Udemy, I find myself starting multiple new courses but primarily to get the information I am needing to learn and moving on with my next task.

Head First Java

Teaches the basics of Java and Object Oriented Programming.

Murach's Java Programming 5th Edition

An excellent training & reference book on Core Java, Object Oriented Programming (OOP), GUI Programming and Database Programming. Great source when learning to study Java via IDE or old school Notepad & Command Line.

Has words of wisdom to start off and then leads into a more in depth description of definitions and how to better understand JavaScript.
